First, with choice comes savings – savings for drivers and savings for the system overall.

Second, many drivers are making a choice right now. Because the state requires all drivers to pay for unlimited medical coverage, a growing number of drivers – a 50 percent increase in the last 15 years – are choosing to drive with no insurance at all. That’s against the law.

The state should not have laws that put average residents in a position of having to choose between missing a mortgage payment and breaking the law.
